A retrospective of being somewhere much longer than you should be. After 4.5 years of college I quit and worked for another 4.5. and then I got my degree and gotthe hell out of doge. 10 years is far too long to be in a college town if you aren't a professor, or well on your way to becomming one.
It's just another lonely day in this lonely town
Look all around
Jessica is dancing under a streetlight
just to stop herself from crying...
And she says,
"I've got to get out of this town.
I'm slowly starting to sink
This town can only bring us down.
It's already lead me to drink
I'm at the end of this bottle
And the bottom is all I can see
I'm at the end of this bottle
Or is this bottle at the end of me"
Pick your poison, take your fill
Of what ever eases your head
'Cause it's not the place you're escaping from
But the world that you create for yourself instead
Now I guess
I've got to get out of this town.
I'm slowly starting to sink
This town can only bring us down.
It's already lead me to drink
I'm at the end of this bottle
And the bottom is all I can see
I'm at the end of this bottle
Or is this bottle at the end of me
Can you help me escape
Can you help me escape
Can you help me escape
'Cause I'm lying here awake
Now I know
I've got to get out of this town.
I'm slowly starting to sink
This town can only bring us down.
It's already lead me to drink
I'm at the end of this bottle
And the bottom is all I can see
I'm at the end of this bottle
Or is this bottle at the end of me
It's just another lonely day in this lonely town
Look all around
